Inter-religious Meeting in Cyprus

"The 22nd Inter-religious Meeting for Prayer of Peace" was held in Nicosia, Cyprus between 16 and 18 November. Rev Masahiko Iburi and other members attended the meeting, representing Tenrikyo.

UK Followers' Pilgrimage to Jiba in October

followers from UK returned to Jiba for the Autumn Grand Service on the 26th October as well as other events and activities including Overseas Followers Reception and the Europe Mission Committee meeting.

The 17th Annual Tenrikyo Joyous Life Lecture was conducted!

The 17th Annual Tenrikyo Joyous Life Lecture was held at Wellcome Trust in Euston, London on the 28th September. The lecturer was Prof. Kazuo Murakami. 90 people gathered to listen to the lecture.

Tenrikyo Europe Young People's Convention was held in Paris!

"Tenrikyo Europe Young People's Convention was conducted between 29th and 31st August at the Europe Centre in Paris, and 13 young people from UK participated in the convention.

Tenrikyo Seminar 2008!

The 12th Tenrikyo Seminar was conducted between 20th July and 1st August at the Europe Centre in Paris.

During the two weeks, the participants deepened their understanding of the teachings and practiced the service performance.

Yoboku Reunion in Paris

The 24th Yoboku Reunion was held at the Europe Centre in Paris on 12th July.

Rev Araseki's Study Meeting on 21 June
A study meeting was held on 21 June. The lecturer was Rev Takashi Araseki, Tenrikyo Kiyama München Missionshaus Head, from Germany. He talked about the basic teachings of Tenrikyo as well as his own faith experience.

The Discussion Session!

The Discussion Session was held after the June Monthly Service was conducted on 1st June.

The Third Weekend Seminar 2008!

The Third Weekend Seminar in 2008 was conducted between 24 and 25 May. Participants earnestly learned the teachings, had an active discussion and practiced musical instruments.

Tenrikyo Global Hinokishin Day in London was joyously conducted at Hyde Park!

The annual Tenrikyo Global Hinokishin Day was joyously conducted at Hyde Park on 27 April. All participants earnestly engaged in hinokishin to show our gratitude to the daily blessings of God the Parent.

TUK April Monthly Service was Joyously conducted!

The April Monthly Service of the UK Centre was joyously conducted on Sunday, 6 April. After the service, participants sang "Celebrating Oyamasa's Birthday".

Children's Fun day was conducted!

On Easter Friday 21 March, the Children's Fun day was conducted. Children enjoyed various activities such as craft work, song practice, service practice.

The February Monthly Service of the UK Centre was joyously conducted on Sunday, 3 February.Young people's meeting was also held after the service.

 

The Ladies Meeting was held on Thursday 17 January.

The January Grand Service of the UK Centre was joyously and spiritedly conducted on Sunday, 6 January. Followed by the Service, Young people's meeting was held to discuss activity plan for the new year.

TUK DECEMBER MONTHLY SERVICE

The December Monthly Service of the UK Centre was joyously conducted on Sunday, 2 December in the presence of Rev Toshiyuki Takahashi, Chief of Europe & Africa Section, Tenrikyo Overseas Department.

YMA EUROPE CHAPTER CONVENTION 2007

The Young Men's Association Europe Chapter Convention 2007 was held at the UK Centre on 17 November.

The participants including those from France earnestly engaged in various activities in high spirits.

Tenrikyo UK Centre Autumn Grand Service was joyously performed at the UK Centre on the 7th of October.

The Joyous Life Lecture 2007

The Joyous Life Lecture was held on the 22nd at Grafton Hotel in London (Lecturer Dr Midori Horiuchi) and on the 23rd at Tenrikyo Leeds (Lecturer Rev Noriaki Nagao) respectively.

Nioigake Day 2007

Nioigake Day 2007 " was held in the afternoon on 15 September around Camden Town Tube Station.

Tenrikyo UK Youth Seminar 2007 was held!

"Tenrikyo UK Youth Seminar 2007 - What does it mean to be a Yoboku in the 21st Century? -" was held between 25th and 27 August at the UK Centre.

Through attending various programmes, the participants earnestly studied the teachings, practiced hand dance as well as musical instruments for the service, and had active discussios, thus enabling them to enhance their faith and deepen their friendship.

-  2007 Yoboku Reunion

 The Yoboku Reunion in 2007 was held on Saturday 7 July at the Tenrikyo Europe Centre in Paris.

- 2007 Europe Seminar in Paris

Course One 16th-22nd August, Course Two 23rd-29th August

  Tenrikyo Seminar in Europe 2007 was held in July at the Europe Centre in Paris. Four people from UK completed Course One which was held from 16^th to 22^nd, while six people did Course Two between 23^rd and 29^th. During the period, they deepened their understanding and faith through earnestly learned the teachings of Tenrikyo, practiced the Dance with Hand Movements and musical instruments, and other programmes.

-  2007 Joyous Life Lecture 1 in London & TUK Missionary Study Meeting were conducted!

On the 24th of June, the Joyous Life Lecture was held at Kyokushi London as the first lecture in London this year. The lecturer was Ms Maria Del Carmen, head of Garicia Mission Station in Spain. 22 people including 7 first-time participants to the event gathered to listened to the lecture, followed by an active Q & A session and afternoon tea.    The Missionary Study Meeting was also held in the previous evening at the UK Centre. After earnestly listened to Ms Maria Del Carmen, participants shared various experiences with the lecturer.

Tenrikyo Global Hinokishin Day                                 Sunday 29 April 2007

Tenrikyo Global Hinokishin Day was conducted at Hyde Park on Sunday, 29th April. Followers and friends engaged in hinokishin with a mind of gratitude to God the Parent.

Participants learned the basics of the Tenrikyo teachings and practiced the hand dance as well as musical instruments for the service.

Ladies gather at the Centre every 3rd Thursday of each month and enjoy learning the teachings, practicing musical instruments, doing hinokishin, etc.

TUK Second Head Inagural Monthly Service           Sunday 3 December 2006

The Tenrikyo UK Centre Second Head Inagural Monthly Service was conducted on Sunday, 3rd December 2006. The first head Tomoharu Matsui finished his eight years task for the Centre and left for Japan on 6th December with his family. Replacing him, Takayuki Onoue was appointed as the second head of the Centre.
